Corneal Refractive Therapy, or CRT, is a revolutionary new procedure that allows a patient to see clearly without contact lenses, glasses or surgery.
Dr. Huelsman will examine your eyes and develop a custom contact lens made specifically for the shape of your eye. The lenses are worn at night while you sleep to gently reshape your cornea. The reshaping changes the contour of your cornea and allows you to see clearly after the lenses are removed in the morning.
This procedure can allow you to see without glasses or regular contacts the very next day! To maintain your new vision you must wear your CRT contacts every night or on a schedule designed for you by Dr. Huelsman.
* CRT was first FDA approved in June 2002.
* CRT has no age restrictions.
* CRT has been shown to slow or even halt the progression of nearsightedness.
Unlike the surgical techniques such as Radial Keratotomy (RK) or Lasik surgery, Corneal Refractive Therapy allows the doctor to achieve normal vision without surgery and is completely reversible.
Simple, no surgery, no recovery time, no stress!
Currently this process is only FDA approved for myopia (nearsightedness) and some types of astigmatism. Hyperopia (farsightedness) can be done but is not FDA approved at this time.
